My students need a device with an e-reader to use in class, the case and charger will be essential to maintain the battery and protect the device from damage.
We live in a high-tech world and all students need an opportunity to practice using, creating, and learning with an electronic device. Our school is now a bring your own device school, however we are without a device!
All students need to have an opportunity to use technology on a daily bases.
Including the 50 students I work with every day. My students are excited about learning outside of the textbook and are eager to explore the world around them. They love to share what they know and help each other gain new skills. They really love having the opportunity to learn through different avenues like listening, researching, watching, and playing games.
My Project
Students will learn how to use the kindle and protective case and charger, downloading apps, typing on a tablet, and using the apps. They will use the web to complete research on projects throughout the year. Students will have a chance to create voice recordings and videos as part of presentations. Students will also take photos and learn how to insert them in to documents and our class website. We will also learn how to create QR codes and use them in class as part of lessons. They will also be able to read and/or listen to books to increase their literacy skills.
My students are eager to jump in to the world of technology while at school.
We do not have a class device to share. Having a device in the classroom will allow everyone to use the technology and increase their skills that are applicable to the real-world. In addition, they will have fun while they learn!
