This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
Being little is a big deal and it takes more than a little to meet big needs.
My 4-year-old students (all 24) are all eager to learn and they all need and want my attention.
My students have the desire to succeed. They are dry sponges awaiting every drop of knowledge I can provide. We are located in the inner city where most of my students' social and emotional needs are not being adequately met. I do what I can, however to meet all their educational needs.
My Project
Since my class size is so large, my students have a hard time seeing the visuals I present in class. Obviously every child cannot sit in front of the teacher. A projector would enlarge the visual so that each child can capture the image and detail that is necessary for comprehension.
With the aid of a projector, I would be able to integrate technology into my classroom on a whole group level.
Coupled with a document camera, my students would be able to better understand instructions because I would be able to provide an example that every child could see...not just the ones in the front.
