My Students

My students are preschoolers with special needs. They have needs ranging from autism to intellectual dis abilities and communication disorders. Meeting their sensory needs is very important. We do a variety of sensory exploration, exercise and play every day.

My students are ages 3 to 5.

They all have disabilities. We are a high-poverty area. We don't get a lot of extra funding. My students all work hard and learn and grow every day. They are just regular kids who happen to have special needs. Some have cerebral palsy, down syndrome, or autism-spectrum disorders--but there's nothing wrong with any of them--every child is a great kid who just happens to have some extra challenges.

My Project

Our students need the special squishy seats to sit and move comfortably on the floor. They need the sensory tubs and washable sensory materials to safely explore varying sensory input. This is important for any child, but it is especially key for those with autism-spectrum disorders.

We are a high-need, high-poverty area.

My students do not receive many extra donations. Your help will meant the world to our classroom! Our kids will learn, grow, and explore with your generous donation.
