Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My classroom often has four to six subjects going on at the same time. In order to keep my classroom a healthy learning environment I must be able to provide instruction to each student as they need it with the materials they need.

I teach 6-12th grade special education students who are moderately disabled.

These students work extremely hard and are from a high poverty background. I have never seen a group of students ban together more strongly than the group I currently serve. My 12th grade students help make sure the 6th graders are happy and so forth. Every grade level student helps in my classroom to make everyone's experience a positive one.

My Project

I am requesting computer mice for my students who have a hard time using a trackpad, headphones for all of my students when they need auditory lessons via computer or audiobooks, and flash drives so that they may save their work and bring it to me to print as needed.

The donations that donors make to my classroom have had a long lasting impact for 3 years now.

My first project funded is still being used on a weekly basis and has helped close the barrier between general education classes and special education classes. Thank you so much for everything you do.
