My students need a camera, case, and memory card to share what we do in the gifted classroom with their families and friends through our classroom blog, since they come from different schools.

My Students
Have you ever been really excited about something you accomplished and wanted to share it with others? My students come from schools around the county and have a difficult time sharing what they did in the gifted classroom with their teachers, family, and friends. We created a blog to help share!
My gifted and talented students are from rural, low-income communities in Alabama.
However, they are bright, energetic, inquisitive, and leaders! They spend the entire day with me every other week. They love to learn about inventors, chess, oceanography, environmental issues, criminology, and Washington, D.C. They work hard and really want to share what they have learned with students and teachers when they return to their school or classroom. They want to make a difference in the world. My students want other kids to love learning as much as they do!
My Project
My gifted and talented students are the type who not only love to learn, they love to teach! We study topics that are not able to be covered in the regular classrooms. Through creating a classroom blog, my students will be able to share what they are learning anywhere they have a computer! The camera, case, and memory card we are requesting will allow the students to add pictures of discoveries, activities, and ideas to the words they share with the world. This camera will allow my students to proudly show their families what they can accomplish when given the chance. My students will learn that they can reach many more people than just our classroom!
My gifted and talented students are the type of children that love to learn.
More importantly though, they are the type of children that love to teach others about what they learn. Through sharing what we are doing in our classroom, my students can help make a difference in the learning of others!
