My Students

As a school we are seeking to sustain our students' achievement from last year. Our reading and math scores were above our district's average. Please help us maintain!

Our school is a high-needs school in the Pacific Northwest.

Over half of our student population is on free and reduced lunches. Our school was closed three years ago due to low performance. When it was reopened and new staff and administration came in and has fostered an atmosphere of academic achievement.

My Project

A rolling whiteboard is a fabulous teaching tool that can help model reading and writing lessons for students. It also has the advantage of doubling as a learning center in the classroom, such as using the magnetic side for students to practice making sentences with words.

A rolling whiteboard is a piece of classroom hardware that stays with the classroom.

It is a long-term investment that can be used year after year, and affect a multitude of students in the future. I have had the privilege of having one provided for me in other districts, but as I am now working in a low-income school, our resources are limited. This piece of instructional furniture can help provide students opportunities for classroom intervention, so that every student can succeed.
