it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Did you ever watch "Mr. Wizard's World" when you were growing up? It's a show long gone but the experiments that he demonstrated stayed with me. I would love for my students to have that same experience with science.
My school is located in a low-economic neighborhood, where 97% of our students receive free lunch.
I teach science to the whole 6th grade. My students are very energetic and ready to learn. The look forward to coming to science. they expect to do experiments and love to be wow-ed by demonstrations.
My Project
The tubs that I have requested include 8, experiment cards with involving activities based on the national science standards. They contain materials needed to complete each experiment and explore concepts in depth ÃÂ"from microscopes, pulleys, and 3-D models to fun flip books. They also include full-color charts, that make key concepts easy to grasp!
I know what my students' expectations are of science, please help me to meet their expectations.
I want them to have a lasting memory of all the cool projects they did in science.
Nearly all students from low‑income households
