"A person starts to live when he can live outside himself." Einstein was on to something with this quote. Our Science Champion program will help students know and understand the world around them.
Our school has the best kids the world has to offer.
They know the best in life and they know the hardest part of life. 40% of the children in our school participate in the "free and reduced" lunch and breakfast program. They are all too familiar with moving from apartment to apartment and school to school, but in spite of that they are hard workers and love learning.
My Project
The Delta Science books will become part of our "Science Champion" program where students can read and take AR tests on each book. When they complete a set of books with a score of 80% or better on each book, they will become a Science Champion for that level and receive the coveted Einstein Award.
Many of our students do not have the means to travel or go to local museums to see what else is in the world.
Their experiences are limited to what is happening in their home and at school. Our Science Champion Program is a great avenue to expand their world and bring background information to the science concepts they are learning in class.
