My Students

A popular story with children is "If You Give a Mouse a Cookie" by Laura Numeroff. In a parallel journey, my class could easily take you on an adventure that would explain what would happen if you gave a class 2 iPad minis. I know we'd utilize them daily, breeding effective lessons!

I am a teacher at a Pre K-5th grade school.

We are a tight community that works together. Our parental support is so amazing! Our local school has about 550 students. Teaching is something I truly enjoy. I love working with my adorable 1st grade students. The students at our school embrace technology. In my classroom, you will see students enjoying technology tools at any given time of the day.

My Project

I love the quote by Diana Oblinger that states, "There are a lot of positive uses to the technology in the classroom. The ultimate objective is to find the right path for students to maximize learning." As a teacher, that is my goal! As an educator with a focus on special education and struggling students, I know the importance of individual student needs. I would use the iPad minis with students in independent learning centers to lessen gaps in reading and math. Our school has a school iPad website to assist our school community with apps at home. I would utilize free apps on that site to help reduce learning gaps with my students. My 2nd goal would be to use it in whole class activities.

My students need two iPad minis and two cases.

I know that these iPads would help benefit my students. You could offer my students the chance to have a tablet with great learning benefits. It would help create productive centers and whole class lessons that would enhance learning. Would you please consider giving a class two iPads?
