My Students

"Quiz" this words completely mortifies my students. Although "quizzes" and other forms of formative assessment are important, it would be so wonderful to "quiz" my students without them even knowing it!

My students are fourth grade basic skills students.

They are funny, clever, sweet, accepting, and hardworking. My students are always up for a challenge, and they are challenged everyday in the classroom. These students have to work harder then most, but they always push through and continue to try their best!

My Project

The student responders we are trying to acquire for our classroom, will extend not only instruction, but student engagement as well. Student will love answering questions with their wireless responders, and watch their results link to the SmartBoard. They will be able to work with partners or race in teams. We (teachers) can drive our own instruction based on the immediate feedback we receive from our students' responses. Students will not have to wait an entire day before we grade a quiz or test, and they are retaught a concept. Student achievement will will grow because instructional time will be maximized with this product.

How often do we get a chance to make tests and quizzes exciting?!

This is the opportunity to do just that. I try to improve my teaching everyday, and provide my students what they need, as well as the instruction they deserve. I truly believe that these responders will enhance not only student participation, but my own instruction as well. Please consider helping fund this project, and thank you for your time!!
