This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
For the first time I will be teaching English Language Arts, and I want my students to have all the material needed to accomplish success in reading comprehension.
My 4th grade students come from a low socioeconomic status community, and are eager to learn and probably be the first generation in their family that will go to college.
They are thirsty for knowledge and what better way to provide excellent education than having all the material needed in the classroom.
My Project
By purchasing the leveled reading books for 4th grade, you will provide the opportunity for students to develop their thinking skills to the maximum. These books will allow students to be exposed to reading materials to analyze deeply and impact also the problem solving skill that are included in Math.
The basis for learning is being excellent by using our thinking skills, these are developed by reading and comprehending what is being read.
Please, make a difference in my 4th grade classroom by allowing the students have leveled reading books that can be used to increase these thinking skills. The time is now to build high order thinking skills that will be present throughout their academic life!
