Can you imagine having a science class without text books, or other materials? Imagine trying to learn life science without being able to see, touch and hear about the organisms.
My students are an eager bunch of seventh graders who are looking forward to a fun and engaging science class.
They attend an elementary middle school that is focusing on advanced academics. I have promised them that we will be scientists this year. They are looking forward to learning and being part of an engaging classroom where they can grow and thrive as students.
My Project
I am asking for a laser printer and 2 cases of paper. There is a lack of access to paper and printers at my school. It is difficult to make the materials that my students need to be successful. Access to a printer will allow me to better prepare materials for my students since I have to create all the materials that we use in class. If I forget to print something at home, or need to make a change during the day, I am unable to without a printer. By having a printer in my classroom I will be able to provide my students with the level of instruction that they deserve.
This project will allow me to create and modify the materials that my students need in order to learn.
Without being able to print at school, I am often placed in a difficult situation when I need to make a change to an assignment, or just to print document to be duplicated. Funding this project will allow my students to be the scientists that I know they can be.
