This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Imagine not understanding the difference between two things because they look the same. Black and white makes things look so very similar. Imagine a lesson "sinking in" due to simple color. What if seeing something in color vs. black and white made the difference in a student "getting" the lesson?

My students are some very outgoing children who have an eagerness to learn and comprehend what they are being taught.

They have the need and drive to show that they can do what is being asked of them. My students are typical boys and girls with some minor assistance needed. Our school is a small school but very tight knit. We work as a team across the board with some amazing administrators who do their best to accommodate our needs.

My Project

The printer and ink will open a whole new world up in our classroom. Sometimes, when teaching a lesson, I see that simple color might make the difference in their comprehending the lesson being taught. In addition, printing pages in color will also be used as a "reward" system occasionally to enhance behaviors, because to these children - color is everything when trying to make connections. Sometimes, it blends the real world connections to what they are learning!

Donations to this project will improve our classroom tremendously.

Students can make real world connections by sometimes simply seeing something in color vs. black and white. This will change the learning process tremendously!
