Plant Anatomy: We're Not Learning About the Birds & Bees!

My students need a set of microscope slides to learn about plant anatomy and a video to learn about reproduction (Sexual Encounters of the Floral Kind).

My Students

Do you have a green thumb or are you a notorious plant killer? Monocot, Dicot, more like a boycott! Our classroom needs a set of microscope slides to learn more about plant anatomy and become master gardeners.

The students in my classroom have never even grown a plant before.

That was until they became part of our classroom. Students in Horticulture will learn about plant biology, anatomy, and plant requirements to help them learn to take a seed and grow it into a plant.

My Project

The goal of my Horticulture classroom is to teach students how to grow plants including how to grow their own food. By learning how to grow their own food students can help secure food resources in an area that is lacking fresh quality produce and suffers from high poverty levels.
