My Students

A day in my classroom is exciting. My kids are full of energy and it provides a positive atmosphere. I'm trying to get my kids prepared for third grade tests and it's very hard when some of my students don't even have pencils to work with.

I have twenty-two students.

They are all amazing in their own way. They love to learn; even though they might not admit it. They are always engaged when learning something new. They are loving, caring, and all around wonderful kids. I wouldn't trade them for the world. I love my school! I love my coworkers and my boss. I'm a first year teacher and they have brought me in as family. I love my job.

My Project

I am trying to prepare my students for a very important third grade test. Some of them have to borrow a pencil everyday. I believe that having a supply of pencils in my room will make getting ready for tests so much easier. We are also having problems with sharpening the pencils we do have. The pencils I'm requesting are the best pencils to sharpen. I have been buying $1 pencils and they are just not getting the job done but I can not afford to buy nice pencils for twenty-two students.

My students have made comments that their families can not afford pencils or anything for that matter.

Some students have gotten upset about not having pencils. I hate to see my students upset about small things like pencils. This request will improve my classroom tremendously. We can't do anything without pencils and it's so important right now for all of my students to have pencils.
