My students need the microphone for Paragon Night so the audience will be able to hear what they are saying. They also need the felt remnants to create costumes.
This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
By the end of the school year, my goal is that my students will be able to take lessons from history and relate them to their own lives. In my classroom, we do a lot of role-play activities. My students need to learn to be comfortable with themselves and be confident in their abilities.
My students are very underprivileged.
They live in the inner-city, and many of them have never had the opportunity to leave their neighborhood and surrounding areas. Through social studies, I try to allow them to explore the world. They are always excited about "traveling" to a new country.
My Project
My students will use the materials I am requesting for their Paragon Night performance. During these performance, the whole school, parents, and friends come to watch the students perform a skit about what they have been learning in Social Studies class. They will use the felt to make costumes, and they will use the microphones on stage so they can be heard.
The donations will improve my classroom because we will be able to produce a play they can be proud of.
My students love to perform, and they gain confidence when they are successful in performing in front of a large audience.
