My Students

21st century learners need technology to get the full effect of a 21st century Next Generation Science Standards classroom. Students will be inquiring, researching, and creating on their new iPads.

Throughout the day I have five science classes.

I see about 150 students per day. The students are all naturally curious and really enjoy interactive science such as labs and working with technology. My school is in a quiet neighborhood in which all students walk to school and know one another.

My Project

My students will be using these iPads to be 21st century learners while taking on the Next Generation Science Standards and Common Core State Standards. The students will use the iPads to do online WebQuests and labs that our school cannot afford to fund. Students will also use the iPads for research on real life problems and learn how to problem solve and critical think while doing so. Students will be able to do engaging lessons such as QR codes with iPads as well.

My students will be able to take part in 21st century learning with iPads in the science classroom by using technology to critically think, be creative, collaborate, and communicate.
