Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Many of my students are stuck inside their bodies, watching their peers play. They don't just want to watch, they want to DO!
My preschool students attend a high poverty, inner city school.
They have significant physical and developmental disabilities that make it difficult to nearly impossible to play the way their peers do. They are learning to use switches to help them communicate and access their education.
My Project
Having access to a modified Power Wheels will motivate them to MOVE and PLAY! The switch can be used to promote fine and gross motor skills, hand eye coordination, and cause and effect! And by placing the switch in a motorized vehicle, the preschoolers will be able to be the center of attention during play time, instead of on the sidelines!
Help my preschoolers PLAY, MOVE, and LEARN with a switch adapted Power Wheels Ride On Toy!
You can help give them the confidence to interact with their friends in ways they could never imagine!
