My Students

My students are amazing learners who LOVE technology and the creativity that it allows!

We are trying to overhaul our media center and update it to a "Learning Commons" with a Makerspace at the center. Makerspaces are places where kids can design, build, code, create... "make" things! We need supplies that will allow our students the freedom to think outside the box!

My Project

My students will use these awesome Ollie programmable robots to learn coding (to program the robot), engineering (as we build ramps and tracks), and problem solving (while they solve challenges that I assign them). Computer science is a constantly changing field with exponential job growth. We are preparing today's students for jobs that we cannot even imagine! These programmable robots will allow my students the flexibility to work independently or in groups to learn new skills!

This project is the first of several that will change our media center into a true Makerspace - and give the students the materials that they need to become true 21st century learners!
