Mobile Learning

My students need an iPad to help support mobile learning.

My Students

Our students live in a digital world and we need to provide that at school as well to prepare them for the real world.

We are a rural community in Texas.

We are the third largest district in the state by square miles but only have 5 elementary schools. Many of our kids either can't afford Internet at home or live in an area where it is not provided so we want to give them that opportunity at school.

My Project

We are a BYOD campus but we still have kids who can not afford mobile devices of their own. An Apple iPad acquired through Donors choose will be used to supplement for those students and give them the same opportunities as other kids in their grade level. They will be able to create projects using apps and access their teachers Edmodo and Sophia pages to help them in their flipped classroom environments. They will also be able to use the device to participate in QR and Aurasma projects that teachers are doing in class.

As I said above school is the only place some of these kids are exposed to the Internet and mobile learning.

Having devices available for all children evens the learning playfield.
