My students need 2 iPad Minis to bring technology to our classroom and enhance individualized learning. The devices will also allow a hands-on experience.
Technology is the future. It is important that students are integrating technology in their every day learning - even in Kindergarten. The iPad Minis will not only expose my students to technology in the classroom, but it will enhance their learning in many areas.
My students are bright, eager kids who have a natural love for learning.
While our school provides many resources, we do not have access to very much technology in the primary grades. The iPad Minis will provide the students with something hands-on that will drive their instruction on an individual level and as a whole group.
My Project
I have requested 2 iPad Minis and 2 protective cases so we can take proper care of the devices.
The iPad minis will be used during our Daily 5 literacy block in which students can work on early literacy skills, identifying sight words, and creating digital stories. The students can also practice problem solving and math facts during math centers. The iPad minis will be used in our whole group lessons and be split among the different table groups in the class to practice skills. The iPad minis can also be utilized for individual students to provide them with differentiated instruction through various tasks and apps that will help them with the specific skills they need extra practice with.
I believe the iPad Minis will provide my students with direct experience with current technology.
They will be able to focus on academics, but also have fun doing it. I will be able to differentiate instruction in my classroom by providing individual students with the apps/learning games at their level and interest. My students will be able to improve their reading, writing, and mathematics. Please help my students gain access to the iPad Minis, a wonderful learning tool.
