Microscopic Madness for Science!!! Epson Doc Camera
My students need a document camera to enhance learning for students in Special Education. This one has a microscope adapter to share microscopic images with the class.
Microscopic madness has struck our science class!!! We are starting a unit on CELLS and ready to learn. We also need a document camera to support my other classes, such as vocational, functional, social studies, English and life skills. Technology can help us reach the next level of learning.
My classroom supports students who receive Special Education services for a variety of needs and programs.
The students are so proud of their work and love to share it with others. I teach 7th and 8th graders at a public middle school. My classes cover the core subject areas as well as some specialized areas. Students are taught in small groups with modifications to the common core and general education curriculum.
Last month, our classroom moved to a new room in the building. We do not have access to a document camera. A document camera would help bring learning to the next level by engaging students through visual, kinesthetic, auditory and multi-sensory activities in all areas taught.
My Project
With a document camera, students will be able to access visuals that will project large enough for the entire classroom to see. It will allow students to share their copies of work with the class. In addition, classroom notes can be saved to continue to use the next day. This is extremely helpful in a class with multi-subjects. Saved images and documents could be pulled up instantly to share with the entire class to help differentiate learning during lessons. This is much easier to do with a document camera.
For science, the microscope adapter would allow the entire class to access viewing slides at the same time. This would also help for students who have difficulty looking through a microscope due to sensory or visual difficulties. It will enhance learning and teaching in our classroom. What a great tool! Technology would engage students and offer multimedia means to learning skills and concepts taught.
Our microscopic tools will become magnificent.
We will have a document camera to enhance learning in many ways for students with different abilities. Technology is such a great learning and teaching tool. I love technology and the students do, too! Thanks for reading about our project.
