My Students

I would like to give my students as many opportunities to succeed in their chosen paths, even if we do not have the newest technology in our school.

My students are at the top of their class, so they are very hard working.

Due to education cut-backs, there is not enough funding to build our laboratory into a more modern environment. The resources we have, we make work. Extra resources help enrich our basic fundamental laboratory.

My Project

I have worked in many medical research laboratories prior to becoming a teacher. I enjoy teaching students using hands-on activities, such as using pH meters as scientists do in many research laboratories. The students I teach will be able to use these 8 Hanna Checker pH Meters in many practical ways. My students will learn how to properly make buffers to the correct pH. They will also be able to measure pH while titrating in order to graph the pH measurement to the amount of titrant used. Both of these examples are constantly performed in real analytical research laboratories.

My students need to have proper laboratory equipment in their science labs in order to compete with other students from better-equipped schools.

These pH meters will be a tremendous help.
