My Students
My students love hands on activities and would have their minds blown with the experience of 3D printing.
Do you remember when you really started to understand the world around you and saw something incredible for the first time?
Now imagine that moment bottled up and you have a glimpse of my 7th grade students. They are at the prime of their curiosity and crave new experiences.
My Project
We love what can happen in the virtual world, and with a 3D printer, we can make what we imagine physically appear. I want to give my students an exciting experience in connecting what we learn in Math and Science to hands on experiences in STEM. This project will be a launching point for connecting our classroom to the possibilities of their futures. As 7th graders we study medieval technology, such as the trebuchet (catapult) and life sciences. My students would be able to construct catapult prototypes and models of microscopic organisms. A dream of all infectious disease lovers!
This project will help establish the significance of mathematical and scientific processes in the classroom and deepen our understanding of how things work, while bringing our learning to life.
