My Students

As an art teacher, I strive to provide my students with the most innovative and challenging projects that I possibly can. However, with innovation comes a cost and that is why I am asking for help to provide my students with the supplies needed to create challenging sculptures.

I have a diverse population of students who all reside in the Chicagoland area.

My students adore art and many of them need to be pushed further than the average elementary student. They are hard workers and deserve the best art education I can possibly give them.

My Project

My 8th grade students will use the materials purchased through DonorsChoose to create life-size replicas of the human body in motion. These pieces will then be placed throughout the building as an instillation. Through this project, students will have to work together as a team, create and execute a plan that they will draft together, and ultimately learn that art materials can come in many forms.

Donations to this project will improve my classroom by allowing me to expose my students to a new and innovative way to make art work.

After students install their pieces throughout the school, they will gain a sense of pride by making their school environment a more enjoyable place to be in through the use of art.
