I am a library media teacher at an urban school with 670 students. The library serves grades preK to fifth grade.

Our library has an online catalog, and for this system to be fully functional we need functioning computers. On the average, our computers are eight years old, and only four out of nine computers are working. I am in the process of replacing the computers one by one.

The beauty of having students use the online circulation system by themselves is two fold. First, it gives me my time to spend with other students, and secondly, it empowers the students to seek a book and find it by themselves.

Your help will ensure the students that they really count and they won't be stuck with antiquated equipment.
