My students need puzzles, sequencing activities and sound and number matches to enhance their alphabet and number knowledge, as well as, enhance fine motor skills.
Children who are loved at home come to school to learn, those who are not come to school to be loved.
My goal as a teacher is to love, care for and inspire every child that enters my classroom. I want to instill a love of learning in my students and help them find their passion and reach their goal.
I teach in a title 1 school.
Many of my students come from single parent, divorced families or low income families. However, the children are amazing. Each kindergartener that enters my classroom is eager to learn, succeed and be the best they can be. The children love you on your best and worst day, when you are under the weather and healthy as can be. My kiddos not only teach me, but inspire and encourage me to be a better teacher. I am thankful for each of them and am honored to be the teacher.
My Project
My students will use the materials (puzzles, sequencing activities and sound and number matches) to practice letters, identify numbers, sequence numbers, letters and events. This will also help my students use their fine motor skills and critical thinking skills. They will learn numbers 1-30, upper and lower case letters A-Z and how to sequence and use fine motor skills which in the long term will help them throughout their education.
This donation will help my classroom because 70% of my students do not have the resources at home.
Therefore, the children will be able to practice all of the skills inside the classroom and will be able to reach their full goals. The donations will also help me because I will be able to use each item/donation to work with all the children in small groups or one on one.
