My Students

We have a lot of interest in Allied Health fields in our school and we have put in Anatomy and Physiology as a Sr. level elective.

We are a Independent School district in Central Texas.

Most of my kids come from Agriculture based backgrounds. Most of my students come from very low socio-economic backgrounds and my annual budget is less than $700 for Anatomy. We have a very large Hispanic population in our community and school system.

My Project

Imagine trying to learn parts of the human body when you can only see them in two dimensional drawings and not in full three dimensional models. Also, try to imagine if they go to college (trade, technical, or 4 year) having never seen, held or studied a quality anatomical model.

These models will allow my students the same opportunities to access quality hands on learning as more affluent districts.

By getting these models they will have the same methods of learning and exploration that will be required to get a degree in an Allied Health field.
