This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Who likes learning in fun, creative ways??? My kindergarteners sure do!!! Out of the box, creative ways are how my little ones learn best.

I love teaching 22 curious kindergarten students.

Our school is a Title I school, and more than 98% of our students are on free or reduced lunch. Many of my students do not have any books at home and the majority of my students have not been read to before starting school. My students come to school that provides many wonderful, creative learning opportunities.

My Project

I am requesting various art materials: tissue paper, craft sticks, and fabric markers, to learn mathematical concepts through art. With your help, we will create a variety of art projects that will teach mathematical concepts. Measurement, patterning, symmetry, and number sense are a few of the objectives we will cover. Example projects will be creating symmetrical designs on flower pots, and patterning on our craft aprons.

A donation to this creative project will bring many wonderful lessons that use art to teach math into my kindergarten classroom.

A donation to the project will also give 22 deserving kindergarteners the opportunity to learn math in a fun way.
