My students need plastic money, scheduling clocks, and other hands-on learning materials to help them reach their fullest academic potential. Project materials will encourage hands-on learning in the classroom!

My third grade classroom is in an urban school district that services students with a wide spectrum of social, behavioral, emotional, and academic needs.
Each one of my students are sweet, caring, and unique in their own way. My students come from diverse backgrounds, and for some, school is the only stable environment in their life.
My students are at an age where they love to learn! As a teacher, it is my role to motivate them so they continue to enjoy learning and grow both academically and socially. Within the classroom, my students require a structured learning environment that uses a multi-sensory and social approach to learning. Each of my students benefits from explicit instruction as well as through hands-on learning to apply their knowledge. All of the materials for this project will help create an organized and fun learning environment for my students that builds their love for learning!
My Project
All materials from this project will directly aid in student learning.
Materials like the visual timers and the set of clocks will help keep my students on task and organized in the classroom. These materials will help my visual learners gain time management skills.
All plastic money that is included in this project will help enhance students' money handling skills. The coins in this project will be used as a positive reinforcement system withing the classroom. When students are behaving appropriately, they will receive money and at the end of the day, they will count their money and "trade in".
The materials for this project will enhance social learning in the classroom. These materials will be used to help students apply what they learn during learning centers and group learning activities.
All project materials will aid in my students' learning by encouraging social learning and the application of their knowledge through hands-on activities!
My school system faced devastating budget cuts this year which will ultimately have an impact on student learning.
These cuts will go as deep as to cut spending on classroom materials, among many other things.
All of the materials from this project will have a positive impact of my students' learning. By making learning fun, I hope to foster my students' love for learning and to encourage them to continue on a successful path.
