My students need two laptops to learn basic computer skills. All students are expected to have basic computer skills by the time they enter kindergarten.

My Students

My classroom is full of little learners with big minds and even bigger hearts!

The students who come to me are eager to learn, but have had few experiences.

At four years old, I am often my students' very first teacher. My students are building the foundation for all of their educational experiences. They need more than just pencil and paper lessons but rather seek hands-on, interactive learning. I consider it my privilege to serve these young learners everyday.

My Project

My students are severely lacking basic computer skills. By the time these students enter kindergarten, they are expected to have basic computer skills. They will need to know how to manipulate a mouse and use a keyboard in order to take benchmark assessments. Currently my classroom has no working computers. By receiving these two laptops, my students will learn skills that will prepare them for their future.

For the majority of my students, school is an opportunity to have experiences they will not otherwise have.

Digital learning via laptops will offer the children the chance to learn through a whole different medium and foster skills they will carry with them for the rest of their lives. Many of the students come to school knowing how to work a touch screen phone or tablet but computer skills are invaluable.
