My students need temperature, oxygen and carbon dioxide sensors. They also need a NeuLog PC Starter Bundle and pH sensor.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Ask any student what they expect out of their science classes and they will always say - experiments! Unfortunately, neither my school, my students, nor I have the funding to purchase expensive lab equipment.
My students are incredibly bright and extremely curious.
They crave (and constantly ask for) authentic and meaningful experiences that will allow them to explore scientific processes and deepen their understanding of biological concepts. Unfortunately, my students attend a low-income/high-need school that cannot provide the equipment necessary for many of these experiences.
My Project
I am asking for a temperature, pH, oxygen and carbon dioxide sensor. These sensors will allow students to conduct labs that we were never able to do before! Students will be able to study photosynthesis and the effect of varying light, temperature and dissolved oxygen and carbon dioxide levels on the process.
They will be able to explore the effect of exercise on the rate of cellular respiration. They will be able to explore the effect of varying pH and temperature on various chemical reactions. These sensors will provide students with the opportunity to design and conduct their own experiments and explore the amazing world around them.
Who wants to be stuck in a science class without any labs?
My students surely don't, and neither do I! Your donations will help me provide my students with the opportunity to explore a variety of scientific phenomenon in meaningful and authentic ways.
