My Students
"Let's go invent tomorrow instead of worrying about what happened yesterday." ~ Steve Jobs
In an environment that has different learning requests from each student, technology is the key to meeting their needs.
I serve around 60 students in a typical day for Language Arts and Social Studies.
My classroom serves a population of ESOL, Special Education, EIP, and ALP students. Each student has needs that are great and varied. They are representative of our population of students within the school. They are a wonderful group of children that care about each other and respect others' differences. They are a community of learners that are willing to support their peers to become the best of the best.
My Project
An iPad would be a valuable resource to our classroom. Students would use it daily to work on software programs that would differentiate and help them meet standards, build background vocabulary for English Language Learners, and help students conduct research for ongoing projects. Fortunately, we do have access to text-rich resources that students can use to access information for research. Unfortunately, we do not have enough technology available to allow students to research effectively and efficiently. I foresee this donation being one step to help build our classroom technology.
Students need consistent and reliable technology that will help them develop the skills to become successful in a digital world. I am confident that an iPad will be one tool to help them achieve this success.
Many of our students do not have consistent access to technology at home.
Students need to have access to technology to help them become career and life ready. Your donations will help acclimate them to a digital world and develop the skills needed to become successful.
