Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
When teaching young children, every day is definitely a new day. No matter if our schedule and routine stays the same all year long, each day will bring new excitement, challenges, fun, and adventure!
Our school is located in a small community in Oklahoma.
What our town lacks in size, we make up for in heart. The families in this community are always willing to lend a helping hand and support each other. I love teaching Pre-K because the students aren't afraid to express themselves and show their creativity in all aspects of play and learning. They are inquisitive, excited, and full of life and love! They make teaching fun!
My Project
Students will use the iPads and headphones to listen to stories, practice new skills being taught, and have the chance to learn through interactive educational games. Technology is such an integral part of our world, and even students in Pre-K can benefit from the opportunities that iPads provide.
Donations to this project will help enrich the classroom and my students' lives by allowing skills to be reinforced through interactive learning.
Students can review and practice their new skills on the iPad and many of the educational games track data as they play. This will allow the students to be engaged in meaningful learning experiences, while I work one-on-one with other students to reinforce and assess skills.
