My Students

Batch-Geo, Edmodo, and iMovie are just three of the many apps that can be used with the iPad in the classroom to help students think outside the box. I am asking for one more iPad to maximize our small group opportunities using iPads, and to create a 21st century classroom.

I teach at a rural school with a free and reduced price lunch population above 50%.

As a school, we use every resource to offer students opportunities to participate in 21st century learning. However, we often have students that are challenging to motivate in school, and many of them have limited access to engaging technology outside the classroom. As teachers, we are constantly collaborating to create new, fun, and exciting lessons to get students engaged in the learning process and think outside the box.

My Project

I am eager to work with my fourth grade students and surround them with 21st century skills using iPads. Many of the students come to school and soak up any information presented to them. I am looking forward to helping them become the most imaginative, creative, inquisitive, and outside the box students that they can be. I hope to instill the love of learning new information, read books by new authors, and create innovative projects that involve iPads and the many apps that are just fingertips away.

One more iPad with over in our classroom will greatly enhance productivity, engagement, and enjoyment into every lesson.

The iPad will hold iBooks, educational apps for fast finishers, vocabulary skill practice apps, and tutorial applications that will help students catch up on skills.
