iPad Mini Library Station

My students need an iPad mini! I am trying to get enough iPad minis to have a station in the library that students can use to read books from our new eBook collection!

My Students

Our library is trying to transition from being a traditional library to one that is a technology rich media center. It is my hope that by creating a station of iPad Minis students will have more access to technology based reading materials like online news, websites, and ebooks.

Our library serves approximately 340 kids in a Title 1 school.

Our school is located in a rural community and some of our students have limited technology resources in their homes. By creating an iPad station- I hope that these students will be able to be more frequent users of technology and learn skills necessary for being successful in the future.

My Project

Students will use the iPad mini to look up books using our online catalog. They will also be able to take AR quizzes and read from our new EBook collection. I also hope students will be able to access digital media that they may have not had access to before like online magazines and newspapers targeted towards their reading level!

Our students love using iPads in the classroom and by giving to our project you are helping to get more technology into our library media center where all students in the school will have access to the iPad station.
