My students need hands-on materials including magnetic frames, dice, write and wipe boards, and number charts to help them reach proficiency of first grade math standards.
My classroom is a busy place that is filled with a variety of engaging, hands-on activities. My students are excited to learn and to participate in a variety of learning activities each day. My primary goal is to help my students reach proficiency in all grade-level standards.
There is nothing better than watching a child reach their individual learning goals!
My goal is to create high-interest, hands-on lessons that get my students excited about math. I teach in a Title I school and my students are in need of materials to help them actively engage in math each day.
My Project
My students would be so excited to learn with all of the different materials in this project including magnetic frames, dice, write and wipe boards, and number charts! The colorful, hands-on, appealing nature of the different learning tools would increase student engagement and participation in our math workshop each day. In addition, these materials would work well for my students during whole group, small group and independent learning times.
With these materials my students will have the opportunity to practice a variety of math skills that directly relate to our grade-level Common Core Standards.
My students' participation with these materials would support their individual learning and help ensure that they leave my classroom with the knowledge and skills to be successful.
