My students need the cameras to document their learning throughout the school day. The memory cards will save their pictures and the cases will protect the cameras.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
They say a picture is worth 1000 words, just imagine the words my students in Pre-K could speak with these cameras.
We are a Title 1 school and for 12 of my 22 students, English is or soon will be their second language.
My students are fun, loving, and full of personality. Where language can be a barrier at times, pictures will help give them the words they need to express themselves.
My Project
My students will use the cameras to take pictures during lessons and then make books to help them review what they learned. We are planning a shape scavenger hunt where students will walk around the school and take pictures of real shapes in their environment. Then we will make a book using those pictures. This is just one of the many activities we can do using these new tools.
My students may not have many books in their homes, so making these real world lived experience books will help them learn to read and also help them share what they have learned with their families.
Your donations will also show my students that other people believe in their abilities and in their success.
