My Students

Students love learning with technology! They can't wait to get on the computer and check out all the different educational programs that they we have in our school. Unfortunately, we only have 4 computers in our classroom and this tablet will allow another student to use technology.

The students are 2nd graders who are very excited about technology.

My students come from an area that has some poverty and every year, I have some students with special needs and/or English language learners. Technology is a wonderful way to reach all of my students.

My Project

My students love using the computers in the classroom but we don't have enough! This Dell tablet would allow another student to use REFLEX - which is a math fact practice game with lots of fun levels. The students will also be able to use i-ready for math and reading. This program tests the students to see where they are and then designs lessons for each individual student. I have both math and reading centers in my classroom and only 4 students at a time can use the computers but with this tablet, another student would be able to use it to access these and other terrific programs. The tablet will allow more students to be able to access these programs during the day, as well as other programs that focus on math and reading.
