Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

"We make a living by what we get, but we make a life by what we give" according to Winston Churchill. Thank you for your interest in our project. My students need 2 ipods in order to have further opportunities to listen to rich, wonderful text and increase their reading and listening skills.

I am lucky to teach a linguistically diverse group of Kindergarten students.

They enjoy listening to stories and writing their responses to these stories. They enjoy using technology to increase their learning. Many of the children come from families who struggle financially and may not have the means to provide books and reading materials in the home.

My Project

I will use the two iPods to create a listening center. This listening center will be used during my guided reading time. I will meet with small groups of students while the other students work on independent writing, listening, and reading activities.
