This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Not another boring report! My students are learning to love reading, but they hate doing book reports. I want to help them meet the same objectives by using technology to engage them in the process!

I have a group of 25 enthusiastic second graders!

My students attend a school where the focus is preparing students for college and careers. They are a diverse group of students who come from lower socioeconomic areas, but are motivated to learn and succeed!

My Project

My students have learned how to read, but they still struggle when it comes to being a good reader. They need to develop their skills in comprehension, fluency, and intonation. With a recording device, my students will be able to make their own audio books, book reviews, and comprehension quizzes. Students will then get to use the resources they make at the listening center!

With this recording device, my students will be engaged in creating learning resources for their peers!

Not only will they be developing critical thinking skills as they develop reading comprehension questions, but they will become better readers in the process!
