My Students

Imagine watching one of your favorite movies. Now imagine waiting for one of your favorites lines from that movie but not being able to hear it. I have so many hard working students that stay after school to practice but I don't have the technology to amplify their music/speaking parts.

Many of our students are on free or reduced lunch.

For many of our students, our school is their only access to a computer and/or the internet. With that said, our students are some of the most creative, dedicated, and talented students I've worked with. Our school offers general music for k-5 and for our 4-8 students, we offer guitar, chorus, and band. Our students stay after school for several hours each week for music practice and I am so proud of their hard work and continued dedication.

My Project

My students do many performances throughout the year, such as a Veteran's Day program, winter/spring concerts, music in support of our Kindness week, and a musical. Last year's musical was performed at our local VFW. The placed was packed and the kid's did an incredible job. However, our lack of sound equipment made it difficult for everyone to hear the music! This sound equipment will give my students the ability to present all their hard work with performing opportunities for many years to come.

I don't get tired of breathing, I don't get tired of music!" I love having the opportunity to share my passion for music with my students. It is a wonderful experience watching them enjoy music, all while learning and performing.
