Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
"Be the change you want to see in the world," Mahatma Gandhi said. As a special education teacher, I look to make a child's learning environment meaningful. I look forward to providing them with new furniture to organize the classroom more effectively.
I am a teacher who works in a low socioeconomic district that has many problems getting students to engage in their schoolwork or to take pride in their accomplishments.
Having the proper supplies allows me to completely implement the new Common Core curriculum in an organized effective manner with the proper storage units. We have received many beautiful donations from donors on this site that we need to store them correctly. With the donation, we are going to receive shelving pieces that will hold all of our NEW items from donorschoose.org!
My Project
Your donation can make a difference in our classroom. With the implementation of the new Common Core Standards, we have created many new materials such as games. We need to have the proper equipment to store the equipment effectively and organized. With the proper system, the students will be able utilize the materials easier.
Having the proper furniture to store the new games and other items, the students will be able to utilize the games and other activities more freely. Currently, the students need to ask for help getting the items because we store them on top of our closet because we don't have the proper storage furniture in the classroom. My goal is to have the students use and play freely with the new math and reading games.
Many of my students aren't given the best opportunities in life, but with your donation, you can help broaden my students' knowledge of being successful in whatever they do!
