I have five multiply handicapped students who work very hard to accomplish tasks that most students do very easily. They need a carpet to stretch out and relax on. Unfortunately, the carpet we now use is falling apart, literally.
My five very industrious students are in the first through fifth grades in a self-contained classroom within a small neighborhood school.
Their challenges include cognitive, physical, and language disabilities. Due to their disabilities, they need a large carpeted area in order to stretch out and relax from a busy day of learning.
My Project
With a bright new carpet, my students can not only relax on a colorful carpet, they can relax on the letters A, B, and C, or on the square and triangle. This carpet has subject matter that is an extension of our curriculum. How awesome is that? Our students will be immersed in their curriculum and will benefit from this.
By donating to our project, you will both insure that our students have a clean, safe carpet to relax on, and that they will learn a little bit more by relaxing on a part of their curriculum.
My hard-working students deserve a carpet that doesn't shed!
