My Students

Kindergarten is the stepping stone in their education path. Yet some of them have the hardest time with the simplest task and give up before they even start. By developing their fine motor skills at an early age, we can encourage and nurture their success to come!

My Kindergarten students attend a Title I school.

Our school is composed of military dependents. The students are from military families, and many have a parent who is currently deployed. My class in made up of wonderful, diverse, and eager learners.

My Project

I am requesting 2 Following Directions Building sets and 1 Building Fine Motor Skills games to improve their overall learning. Learning through playing...imagine that! The fine motor skills games and follow directions building sets will be use during their center times to develop and build students' fine motor skills. These activities will also help with community building because they have to work together and take turns to finish a game or to complete a task. These hands-on activities will lead them to learn that learning can be fun. It will help them to develop the basics such as fine motor and management skills, so they can be successful in other areas.

These activities will help my students by showing them that learning can be fun.

It will encourage them to work through a problem to get to the end product. Also it will promote community building in the classroom by letting the children play together on a game. This will then make them better friends in and outside of the class; they will learn to encourage others to succeed.
