First Project to Enhance Technology in Our Classroom!

My students need a document camera, books about Martin Luther King Jr. and a CD player so they can listen to books on cd.

My Students

My students are excited to learn and they show up each day eager to learn new things. They LOVE anything to do with technology like ipads, the computer lab, or smartboard.

My students are... well, great kids!

They come from a wide variety of home life situations and cultural backgrounds (think Africa to China to Mexico to the Midwest!). They are a fun group of kids who come to school eager to learn. Our school is in a growing, small town community.

My Project

I would use this document camera to display papers, art projects, science experiments and other small-display things that would be better in a larger scale. A cd player would be greatly used in our classroom- I have books on cd and they are just waiting for a cd player to play them on! After listening to a book on cd, students will write about the book they listened to. I requested the book "I Have a Dream" because I would like more materials about Martin Luther King Jr. and I think the students would enjoy this book. It also speaks to the dreams I have for the students in my classroom and the dreams they have for themselves.

This project will make a difference in the lives of my students this year and for many years to come.

They will be able to take part in more activities and will learn more effectively with the technology I hope to get for our classroom.
