My Students

"Learning is a joy, and school is a happy place." This is our motto and we live it every day. Our classroom is a place where we delight in education. We laugh, we smile, we encourage, we lift, we inspire, we do our best, and we love every minute of it!

Our classroom is a melting pot of amazing kids!

Students travel from several different neighboring cities to attend our school. Backgrounds are varied, incomes are modest, and many come from farming communities. They are hard working, happy, and high achievers.

My Project

My students need period costumes (pioneer bonnets and caps). My class is wrapping up our Utah history unit by traveling to a pioneer village in Salt Lake City. Please help us create a classroom cache of pioneer headwear so that every student can have the same experience, make the most of this adventure, and feel like they are stepping back in time.

Every student should have "wow" moments in elementary school experiences that they'll smile about for years to come.

This project will help create lifelong memories for every student, regardless of their family's income. Dressing up in period costume as we step back in time is always optional, but I want it to be possible. There are students in my classroom whose parents are barely making ends meet. With your help, all of my students can dress up and "move west" during this class adventure.
