Every Kid in a Park will Explore and Discover Nature
My students need funds to visit Jockey's Ridge and the Wright Brothers Memorial so that they can participate in the "Every Kid in the Park" initiative.
This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
"Teaching children about the natural world should be seen as one of the most important events in their lives," Thomas Berry.
My students attend an elementary school in the heart of our city.
Two universities, one community college, and a US Coast Guard Base surround us. My school houses kindergarten through fifth grade. The students enjoy being outdoors and are often upset if they are unable to go outside. This trip will be a learning experience for my students and allow them enjoy nature at the same time.
My Project
The "Every Kid in a Park" initiative has sparked an interest in having my students visit a US National Park in our local area. I am requesting funds for transportation so that my students can visit Jockey's Ridge and the Wright Brothers Memorial. The funds requested will pay for transportation.
This project will allow my students to experience the beauty of our local state parks.
The "Every Kid in a Park" initiative has encouraged educators to give their students the experience of what US state parks have to offer.
