My Students

We are a Title I School with more than half of our population receiving free and reduced price lunch.

The students I teach come from diverse cultural, linguistic, and economic backgrounds. I consider my school to be a melting pot of individuals of diverse backgrounds including different races, religions, cultures, married, single, and military families. I want to provide my students with the tools that promote hands-on learning and allow them to use their talents to show what they know!

My Project

My students are hands-on learners and like to create. My students are full of energy and I try to incorporate the Arts into every subject possible. My kids enjoy creating their own books to display what they have learned on a given subject. Our upcoming units will incorporate the arts with economics. Students will be asked be entrepenurs and artists by starting up their own business. These resources will assist my students in creating their start-up projects- from my bookmakers, jewelry designers, magnetic tile makers to the bookmark maker. The Silhouette Cameo Bundle and sticker kit will enable students to generate materials they can use and apply to their own projects. My students want their products to be creative, professional looking items that they would be proud to present during our economics market fair. These products will empower students through art while learning entrpeurship and the value of money.

Having the right tools to use to create projects will allow my student's imaginations to soar.

By donating the tools necessary to utilize the arts effectively, my students will be able to create anything that their imagination will allow them to.
