My Students

"If we teach today the way we were taught yesterday we are not preparing students for today or tomorrow." What does that mean for our students today? In my classroom it means giving students more opportunities to explore and express themselves in their own learning.

We are a 2nd grade class in Northwest Arkansas, and we are striving for educational excellence.

Not only are we readers, writers, and mathematicians, but we are also thinkers, artists, and explorers. The students in my class thirst for knowledge, and ways to express that knowledge in new ways.

My Project

My students will use the iPad Air to help make our learning more mobile. With the iPad Air, students can extend the classroom outside of the four walls where we are physically located. Students will use the iPad for research, practice, recording, connecting with others, and composing. This device will also allow me to record data and share their learning. Being able to record students and share with other students will be a great tool to have in our school.

This iPad will help our classroom become more mobile, and allow us to connect with other classrooms in our school, state, and country.

We are hoping to eventually connect with others around the world. This device will help prepare students to become the future leaders and collaborators that they are destined to be.
